Sure looks like a parts car now...

Anybody save the original listing?

So this guy bought it from the roof cutter guy that bought it from the original listing less than a week ago... SURE!!!

That crackhead got busy right away chopping that roof off. Probably did it with a broken hacksaw blade and a couple of big crack rocks. Well at least he changed the oil and plugs for the next poor bastard that buys it.

It's just really hard to figure out, if you were going to flip it just put the ad back up for 1500 2000 he knew he got a good deal. Why go to all that hard work to cut the roof off and then decide to sell it. Almost would like to go see it just to try to figure it out ha ha

The roof looked messed up in the original ad, maybe he is telling the truth that it was chopped off? You could still make money by parting it but it isn't worth it to me.

Iirc, the original cl ad showed a green/gold car with a white/cream colored front clip. I think the roof chopper car is a different car. Either way, it's a pity. :(

Nope it was not green/gold. It was white or cream with red interior and the drivers front fender was messed up just like the new add shows.

Wonder if someone was in the process of cutting the roof and stopped. This guy just completed the deal?

Could it have been cut and just laying on top in the original ad?

He says the previous owner cut it off. That could be why it was so cheap. This guy might have thought it would be easy to fix and then decided it was beyond his abilities...

I just called the seller. It is the same car, he bought it from the guy in Oakland. The top was already cut like 68GTConvert is saying. Good eyeball on the roof!

That tops been off for a long while, look at the package tray, looks like a full metal panel welded in up to the rear seat. I cant imagine driving that thing without the support of the roof, hopefully they at least put in some frame connectors... SAD, nicer car than what lots of guys start with...
