This is the only sound clip I have of my car so far. It is a 440 with 2" fenderwell headers. 3" X pipe exhaust with original 40 series flowmaster mufflers and no tailpipes.
Sorry for the poor cell phone video.

The first car is my 68 clone-vertible. Was a /6 3/tree factory air car. Now has a 440, 727 w/3500, 3:91. 2"TTI's to Car Chemistry 3" unbaffled header mufflers. Hopefully this year I will relocate fuel pump/filter and cutoff switch and install a full TTI system. Engine is 10:1 Source heads, Comps XR286HR-10, Comps roller lifters, Crane 1.6, I beams, lightened balanced rotating assembly, PJ gear drive, few other odds and ends.

The second car is my 68 hard top. 340 4 speed with 3:55's, center force dual and I have no idea about any of the specs for this engine.I've owned the car since 1998 and have yet to tear it down other than swapping a tunnel ram. It does have 3" pipes thru Flowmaster 40's turned down at the axle.

nice richard !!

Thanks guys, I was very happy with the out come of the new 360 motor. It sure was a pleasure hearing that from my buddy here on FABO

The motor took me about 2 weeks to install and finish up all the hook up. It started on the the second try. I forgot to hook up one wire to the MSD box. It was a charm to see it start. I got the motor from a guy in my Mopar Club. Removed old motor the week of Feb. And had it running March 1st. It was nice to hear it run myslef. First motor i have even installed. Pretty strong motor about 400HP.
Thanks for all the kind words.

This one is my '73 340 Duster. 2.5" Duals with glasspacks

[ame="http://youtu.be/-SU2uz43c_4"]302 Found[/ame]

It had a nasty exhaust leak (that funky chirping noise you hear), the exhaust had been damaged when the car was put in the garage 17 years ago. My dad had a friend acting as a "spotter" when he pulled it into the garage (tucked it tight against the wall in the back corner), and the right front tire clipped something, tearing the sidewall and the exhaust bottomed out, busting the downpipe when that side of the car dropped.

I replaced the downpipe (don't have any video of how it sounds now) when I fixed it up and started driving it last year, but it has 2.5" Duals, with long glasspacks (roughly 28 - 30" in length, they must be at least 30 years old)

Hello fellas,

Finally got around to replacing the exhaust on my Dart.

It's a stock 318 with Flowtech headers, cross pipe and a set of Dynomax VT mufflers. It's a 2.5" system with a 3" tip.

Funnily enough, the headers had to be slightly modified to fit, apparently the Brazillian Darts have less clearance between the steering column and the headers.

I quite like the setup, it sounds like a much bigger engine in my opinion. Plus, the Dynomax VTs are extremely good, I drove for about an hour at 110km/h and had absolutely no issues with drone, just a nice mellow tone. And this is with a 3 on the tree...

This is a video of the stock exhaust.

A short video of idling with the new setup (poor phone quality, crank up the volume!). I'll try to get a better one on the weekend.

Cheers!

Huh...I thought I had added a clip of my Duster a while back, but I guess not.

This was right after breaking in the engine and the car was still in pieces. Open headers :D

I'll get some of it with the exhaust on at some point after I get it back out...
