Should I trade?

-
update. well we are close to making a deal. He wants me to bare the exspense of bringing it to his house. It will take 14 hrs to drive one way. He does not have a truck or trailer. I told him I didnt mind the drive but he should pay for half the expense. I think its only fair. What do you think?

I think you should each drive your vehicle half way to the nearest town and swap there. That way you would know how road worthy it is.

That would be great but we live 14hrs apart. His truck is set up for e85 which is not readily available everywhere.

Another thing to consider. Think this through real good!
Also A100 parts aren't readily available. It's not real high on the reproduction list. Lexan gets real foggy on humid nights. Ask anybody who uses it at the track.

If it were me & my Dart I wouldn't do it. JMHO 2c.

Well, if you drove 14 hours to his place and drove the truck 14 hours home you would certainly know about that "cool factor".

Good to know about lexon. I would hate to be out in the middle of know where finding out about the cooling factor lol

Slappy, just a thought. If you make the trade, do you plan on keeping it on E85? Reason i bring that up is, if that engine was built for it, it may have too high of compression to run on pump gasoline should you decide to convert to that?

he should pay at least half...if you are doing the transportation.

Hmm never knew that. He doesnt have much info on engine either because he bought it second hand.

A lot of purpose built E85 engines are in the 11.5/12.0 range, that's why i asked. I lived in Richmond from 2005 to 2010 and E85 was readily available there so i don't think you'll have any trouble getting it around your area. Then again it may be just a regulation 9ish to 1 engine. Just thought i'd bring it up if you were thinking about it :D.

Update:: Thanks for all the info guys really appreciate it. The guy has agreed to pay half the trip. Now I need to figure out when to go. 14 hrs yikes not looking forward to it.

Ok guys going to do the trade this wknd. 14 hr drive. hope the truck is what I expect. Pictures to come.

This thing is an absolute beast. Super fast a bit hard to handle. Has a 440

Glad to see you got your new toy. I had some reservations about it, but that thing is really cool.........Looking at the rear tires, they may me the regular M/T Sportsman's available years back and not the "Pro's". If that's the case, there a pretty hard compound, and a little hard to hook up with big power.
