Clicked on a gun control link on the LA times, found a list of the top 10 Worst American produced cars.
Not 1 Mopar, or even a Chrysler!!!!!!! Some Fords, an Edsel, the Aztec (Pontiac) , some chebs.

10 is a small number...most of us could count off 10 cars from any manufacturer that could feasibly make the list. Its just a coincidence that they failed to fire off the neon, k-car,fwd colt, etc

Several years ago , Car Craft did an article on the top 10 worst V-8 engines of all time . Now this is coming from Camaro Craft itself . 9 were GM , and one Ford . Hmmm , makes you stop and think about it !

The K car? Interesting you threw it in that category, every K car I've ever had has lasted at least 400,000 km's. Hell I had one go to 500,000 and I took that poor thing off jumps, through swamps, way too fast on the highway, etc. Never even changed the oil or did a tuneup or anything.

And they were also cheap gutless ugly rotboxes that are a notorious example of the bad cars that came from mopar.

I'm sure there is someone that loves an early 90s hyundai...doesnt mean thats a good car either.

edit: a few min on google turns up this modified 1990 accent. lol

Maybe, the just because you think they were a poor car doesn't make them the "top 10 worst." Were K cars REALLY any worse than other cheap junk that was being made back then? And, really such stuff was really about the Asian vs U.S. labor markerts, as well as increasing demands for fuel mileage. "We" simply could no longer compete. People, in other words, were REALLY starting to buy Toyotas. I can still remember a story about the Toyota built Nova. People had "Jap badge fever" and would actually buy a "Toyota Toyota" instead of a "Toyota/ Nova"

Liked my "K" car that I had for a long while. Got me around trouble free!!!

That is for what it was, a "K" car.

Gotta say that I've owned a Buick Rendevous, rebodied Aztec, for eight years (90k) and all I've had to do is maintenance. The Aztek was hands-down ugly but not poorly engineered IMO.

I love the two "K based" cars that I have.

They are fun and will get on down the road.:burnout::burnout:

Ford Pinto, Chevrolet Chevette, and Chevrolet Vega were as disposable as BIC lighters. America had a long hard time figuring out how to make a dependable economy car.
