[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gBxdfUs8v0"]Junkyard 'Cuda Rescue, With Nitrous Oxide! - Roadkill Episode 11 - YouTube[/ame]

Taks a pretty solid console 68 (actually a 67 by the lack of side markers and 67 fenders) notch and butcher it so they can do a tee vee show. Roadkill. Idiots. Notice that like so many of those kind of shows parts just kinda miraculously appear, like the grill and headlight surrounds. So they put 68 grill on a 67 and call it good enough.

i get a kick out of these guys and the show. i have seen them all on youtube. they took a cuda destined for the crusher and got it back on the road. sure they didnt do a resoration but they got it back on the road, had there fun and sold it to a new owner. i just wish my job was as cool as theres.

It could be a lot worse. They could have left it to get crushed. While it may not be the way you would have restored it you should be happy that they did saved it and then passed it onto a new owner who will hopefully do it more justice than they did.

That junkyard owner knew the car was too valuable to crush. See the way they trashed the console mount bracket? I still want to know how they came up with a 68 grill and headlight surrounds.

I dont see the problem ? They didnt do anything to "butcher" it, or nothing that cant be easily fixed.
They took a car that was dead, rotting in a junkyard, got it running, and sold it at the end to someone who will no doubt fix it up even more. At least the car is back in circulation instead of laying in a junkyard.

Just finished watching. Thanks I thought it was pretty entertaining. I see nothing wrong with it other than I wasn't there to buy it at the end.

you cant make everyone happy. id rather they did what they did then it get parted out till there was nothing left but a shell. if anything they should be commended for making it run again with the engine it had in it already. they could have thrown a small block chevy in it. then i would have been offended.

Well, to the people that hate it, what would the fate of that car been if they didnt bring it back to life? sit there and get parted

Want some cheese for that whine?

Seriously that car was not ruined If anything its in better condition then when they started.

It's just like what we do. Throw a ton of money at a car bound for the scrap yard and end up losing money on the deal. I kind of liked the show. LOL

From the responses so far... nope, looks like it's just you.

(j/k, bud, couldn't help myself from being a wise ***.)

I loved what they did and the series. Besides who cares it's just an A body barracuda that was sitting in a junk yard. Don't forget most A bodys were just the cheap econo cars of they day.

Maybe the show will get someone else interested in A bodys and then save another one too.

Now if it had been me I probably would have grabbed that '76-'77 Volare RR, sucker looked complete and probably would have been easier to fix then the barracuda though probably not as fast.

That junkyard is a few miles up the road to me next door to the drag strip where I won my first race. Whats the odds of them finding a usuable cuda with a fresh paint job and missing mainly a carb just sitting right there at the front door????? LOL suspicious that they just happened to have brought a carb with em. Staged like all those other shows.

I disagree, there's nothing staged about the roadkill series. They do have a credit card and a pretty big budget. Do auto parts stores not sell carbs in Texas??

Those two guys are living the life!!

A little jealous that they have the funds to do this. but they are living the dreem and it would be very cool to be in there shoes. Although I thing that shows like this are staged, but these guys do have talant.

I love the show! I met Frieburger a couple times and he's a cool dude. If he wadded that barracuda up into a wall I wouldn't change my opinion about him or his show. It's posts like this that make me keep my latest project under wraps.

OK, I lose. They got a fish out of the junkyard and into a person's hands who will probably do something with it. Still want to know where they got the 68 grill and surrounds.

That thing ran a 9.0 1/8th with skinny tires and no sure grip after they got it running at first. No idea what the motor in it was, but... My drag race stripped 68 fish with a healthy 340 and 3.91 suregrip ran 8.40 at 3050# with me in it. Just sayin...rigged.
