New from California

Welcome. Cool car.

Hope to see it cruising around the neighborhood.

Man, that's not just green.
That's a nice, eye catching green.
And it's the best motor every made.
A 318.
Hemi's get all the glory, while the heavy lifting is done by small blocks.
I'LL DUCK NOW......................

Thanks folks, I'm in Simi Valley, CA.

My middle son drives this car. He likes how people flinch when he comes alongside. He hasn't been sideswiped since it was painted Sublime Green. He did get sideswiped when it was painted Top Banana Yellow, though.:wack:

Was that car at Bill's Quality once getting an alignment about 3 years ago?

:glasses7: YUP. Small town, I guess! The alignment was fine then, but degraded over time. I made the mistake of not taking it back to Bill's. They would have pointed out any problem and likely sold me the repairs that were required, as opposed to a toe-and-go. It's about $160 for an alignment there, and I was hoping to save a few bucks. Big mistake. I'm getting rusty on this; I don't work full time as a mechanic, haven't for a long time. Back in the day I would have just looked at it, and known. As I posted in my other thread, I'll be checking the LCA bushings and ball joints. I'll bet they are toast.

Did you look it over when it was at Bill's? The top was a lot nicer then (shredding, now) and the paint was fresher. When his speedo died for the second time, we put a set of Autometer Phantom gauges in it, everything but a tach. Those gauges were originally going to go in my '68 Skylark California GS, but that is currently getting body work and a new paint job (by me, I'm a po boy).
