He's right; the /6 uses a rod type throttle linkage and the V8 uses a cable. Find a cable assembly to include peadal, bracket, and cable from a V8 64-66 A-body. I do remember seeing somebody on here used a pedal assembly from a 67 and later vehicle as well.
