Exactly. The SEMs product is really just a laquer based paint with additives in it. It'll dry in a heartbeat. To get the right look on the dash metal you'll want to back the can away for the last coat and put it on right after the previous wet coat. Otherwise the dry coat will wipe off like dust.
Since spray bombs often have a wax plug in the pickup tube to extend shelf life you should always shoot the first bit on scrap, practice on your scrap.
