Anyone done Wilwoods on stock rotors?

-
I installed them on my once daily driver 73 Dart (dove it through snow and everything year round every day of the week). The install was pretty straight forward. Spoke to the Wilwood techs on the correct brake compound for the pads. Just make sure when replacing pads that before you compress the 4 pistons you must clean the caliper pistons first. Also make sure you put antisieze or lock tight on the bolts. I'm not kicking myself in the *** because all the bolt on my brackets siezed up.

Other than that, super light, great brake repsonse (manual brakes with Mopar Aluminum Master).

I have them on my bracket racer.

They do a great job at stopping me from 130mph with no power assist. The slotted drilled rotors are E-bay specials. No complaints about them either.

AWESOME! And they eliminated the need for Torsion Bars!

The caliper and brake pad part numbers quoted in the Mopar Action article are no longer available. Summit Racing lists the following as replacements:

Caliper PN 120-6815 (now a forged caliper)
Brake Pad Set PN 150-8850K

Total from either Summit or Jegs is just under $320 for calipers and pads from Wilwood.

i have this exact set up on my dart with the 11.75 rotors. how well do these calipers perform compared to the stock 73-76 a-body calipers?

Couldn't tell ya. I never had the stock disc setup. Sure works a whole lot better than the drum brakes on my first Dart, that's for sure ;)

Dumb question maybe about cleaning the caliper pistons, do you take them right out to clean? Then bleed?

I remove the caliper and pads with the brake line still on. Spray brake cleaner on the pistons and wipe down. Nothing too crazy.
