I'm going to sound like a pompous *** here, but milling the divider does not make it a single plane. The name dual plane comes from the over n under runner arrangement not the centre divider.

I think he was just telling me how to get a little more HP out of the dual plane, not really turn it into a single plane. Basically to try to even the playing field a little more between the two different styles of intake.
