I recently retired and now I'm looking for a nice MOPAR to enjoy and take care of. Where is the best place to go in my search for my first MOPAR. I've been searching the Internet looking for the right car. I've run across a lot of junk that looked good in the pictures. If anyone knows of a nice car for sale please let me know. My budget is $25-$32,000.00.

1965-69 Plymouth - Barracuda, Belvedere or GTX
1965-69 Dodge - Coronet, Charger or Dart

I know its a 64 and you are looking for a 65-69 but this may interest you. I have it listed in the trade section

A picture isn't always worth a thousand words. Don't buy off of E-bay unless your willing to go and inspect it in person, or hire someone to inspect it. I know to many people who have spent a lot and did not get the value they were seeking. Best of Luck on your quest.

i dont really know how to use this site well.but i have thought about selling my 1967 notch back barracuda.it has less than 50,000 miles on the car.it is a factory 273 hp car mostly numbers matching.it has new roller 340 with 3.55 posi 8 3/4 rear.i have the 273 4 motor stored in friends shop.this is not a show car but a really nice car. Needs nothing but someone to take care of it.if the 340 roller is not what u want i can have the 273 put back in.the 340 is top of the line.built by a local performance shop .i have receipts that are near as much as i will sell for.if you want to talk pm me.

That kind of money gives you lots of options. It should buy a nice 340 A-body or 383 B-body. I would recommend that you drive a few different cars and decide what you WANT. My preference for the last thirty years has been A-body convertibles (we've got two and one of my sons has another).

Go to a large Mopar show and look around...

I have a '66 Sat, rebuilt motor (340) nothing stock, in the the mill, except the block, (was 273) rebuilt 727, 742 case Richmond Gear (4:10) Sure Grip, 2200 MP stall, new Fuel Tank, Sending unit, ALL hard and rubber lines replaced (Brakes, every component, tranny lines, fuel lines, ect) . New front end, New Holley 750, SS springs, Rebuilt cluster, too much to list here. Nice Body, 6 year old paint job. Don't wanna let it go, but I found a Challenger. I have over $5,000 in the engine. I am looking for $10,000 OBO. PM for specs on the engine, or any other questions. Thank You! I have a 440 HP block w/ crank, rods, pistons, fresh .030 bore, ported heads, intake, ect, if you want.

I have a 67 prostreet fastback that I have been considering parting with for the past few months. It would be priced in the upper range of your budget. There are some pictures in my members photo gallery but they are not current. If interested I could e-mail you more pictures. This car is a beast but still quite streetable.

One more option would be to buy a nice clean rust free (southern) car and restore it yourself. Your retired, you have time on your hands right. You can do whatever work you can handle and source out other work. That way you could build exactly what you want, body, colour, engine, trans etc. This is what I would do. In the end it will truely be your car.
