flipping front spring hanger to lower rear.

Can you un-bolt and flip the front spring hangers on an early a-body to lower the car? i have heard that this will work and lower the car about an inch?

We have new hangers for 89.00 for the pair and they have the option for 2 rides heights. Just a thought
