paint question

This topic comes up every couple months, here is what I have to say about it:

Some of the best paint jobs come out of personal garages, why? Who cares more than us about our ride? Nobody.

I say do it yourself, but I'm that type of person: Google Poor Man's Supplied Air Respirator, get a HF purple gun, maybe some TCPGlobal base coat, clear coat so you can fix it if you make a dribble, and make it happen. $500 bones.

Or pay someone a bunch of money to do it for you, and they will charge you good, because it's a ton of work, liability, and they have to do it all from metal because they have to verify so their paint sticks. And of course they don't trust you, they are the only ones that can read a tech sheet, remember that. :D

In the end you can buy a lot of paint for the price of having some one else do it for you, and you'll have one hell of a sense of pride and accomplishment when your finished, something you just don't get when you pay someone to do it for you.
