I guess cheap, he must have seen one I don't, the cheapest I see is 46 bucks.

He might have ordered the double row, not double roller set. Double row chains aren't true rollers and are much cheaper.

I re-read what he posted, and I believe he just bought the chain...I chkd the website and couldnt see any sets that cheap.....

What is like to have in there is a msd ignition my truck has no vac adv but yet it's an 84 and I like the way it runs just wish I could go to a 4bbl

I just checked too and don't see the cheap sets anymore. It's been a couple yrs. since I saw them so I guess they don't have them now.

It may not have vacuum advance per say but I believe it has a computer that controls timing and part of it does the same thing as vacuum advance. IMO MSD doesn't do much for a stock engine.

There's only 2 wires that go to the dist nd as for comp there's only one on the air cleaner and that I believe just measure air intake or something

I would go with the gear drive if you can afford it. Never have to worry about a jumped chain and therefore bent valves. You can get quiet gear drives too.

That's the thing is finding a quiet one for a mopar they are all ovr for ford and chevy

A good doulble roller and a timming chain tensioner (mopar performance) should be more than enough on the street.

Yep, Same here,...Put a MoPar double roller setup in my Dakota,..like 200,000 miles ago for around 50 or 60 bucks,...Money and time well spent...

Does anyone make a geardrive set up for an "LA" engine"????

this thread is off the chain... Ok that was bad.

I love gear drives. I love the sound. its kind of a whirring noise. they aren't loud. If you are a married guy, not noisy at all. :)
