Thanks..... The first link is even a 67 Barracuda. I will save it for doing my 68.
 
Hopefully getting close to a new top soon... got a rip thats not getting any smaller everytime I open it up.
Going back and reading these articles just validates my choice to find a reputable installer.
Saw a couple drop-tops at a recent car show that werent very attractive. Not a fan of loose fitting tops.

I can't believe those knuckleheads put a plastic rear window in the Barracuda...

Find someone that has experience in older cars. The Dart with the tight rear corner takes someone with skill to get it right.

My top fits great, have a cloth top but would bet a vinyl would be just as good with the installer I had. Being in Florida there should be several shops that can do the work.

Make sure your tack bow is smooth on the ends and use the wires I sent you

With a vinyl top make sure it is warm & dry when putting it down

They used the wrong glass for my top so save your glass of have them send it out to the top company to reuse.

You know- I think my top did originally rip when I opened it as a cold front came thru FLA a year or so back. Besides being old... I dont think she liked the 50* weather! lol

I have a plastic rear window. What was wrong with the glass one they used on yours??? I was planning on using glass.
 
The glass being supplied by all the top makers is the wrong piece and is flat. I ordered one for my GTS over ten years ago. The top showed up where my son was working. He knew immediately it wasn't right and called me to measure the original (replaced in the 1970s). The replacement was wider and shorter. We sent it back along with the orignal glass.
