I don't understand why people hassle folks about calling a limited slip or sure gipr posi- let it go- It is a generic term that has always been used - not just for GM cars- Everyone knows what the guy is looking for. We get it- now give it up.

It's called "yanking a guys chain". Maybe not everyone but I think most guys do it in jest, me included. If a guy can't take a joke he shouldn't be on the internet cause your susceptible to ridicule a lot worse than someone correcting terms you use. Go on any GM board and post a want ad asking for a sure grip and see what the GM guys say. You'll be lucky if they don't track you down and give ya a blanket party.

BTW: Posi is not really a generic term. Each company had a moniker for their limited slip differential. "posi" was used by GM, "traction lock" was used by Ford, Twin grip was used by AMC, and Sure-grip only used by Mopar.
