I have painted in pieces before, it gets all the edges. Then after putting together put 2 coats on the outside and all is well. anything can be sanded out later.
Yea you got that right. Sometimes doing a full car all at once you end up getting dry spots on the edges, where when its disassembled you can get plenty of clear evenly distributed in all the hard to reach places. I got 6 coats of clear on it total with 3 coats of base.
