I am doing a 4 speed swap in my '67 Dart. I will add more detailed info later. Here are some pictures to view until then.

Looks like its a factory hump.

looks like the hump is out of a 75 76 car with a Cat. conv. floor. The area behind the shifter is short for the raised floor pan on those models. You can extend that without much problem.

If it wasn't for all the 4 speed swap info posted on this site I would have had a heck of a time doing the swap. FABO has made it fairly simple for me. Heck, I bought all the parts except for the tranny itself from members here. Glad I could pass it along.

Keep the love coming. I will be using your thread to help me along as well :)

Did someone have bucket seats in that car without the plates being welded to the floor? I can see holes drilled for the buckets, and can see where the plates need to be added.. was this a bench seat car?

Yes it was a bench seat car. The plates are going to be added while I am working on the car for the winter. Good eye!!!!

I got a late start today. I did manage to get the pedals in. I got the undercoating off the bottom side of the hump and got it painted top and bottom. I will get it welded in tomorrow evening. Then it will be time to drop the 4 speed out and tear it down for inspection and order gears, synchros and whatever else I need.

I have heard this a couple times. Does the floor need to be reinforced to prevent the bolts from ripping through in the case of an accident?

Yes. The outer bolts are braced from the factory with the bench. When adding buckets the inner floor bolts need a steel plate added to keep the seat from ripping through the floor in an accident.

I got the hump welded in place tonight. Tomorrow I will make a plate to fill in the gap at the rear of the hump and weld it in.

Next will be installing the Z bar and frame bracket. Then it all comes back out for the trans to be rebuilt.

Got the Z bar and frame bracket installed. The trans is out and torn apart for inspection. I have a parts list made and have to call Brewers and talk with them a little and order some parts. 4 speed internals aint cheap.:banghead: But it will be like new when I get done.

I have not forgotten about this thread. I am waiting on the the rest of my 4 speed parts to come in. I ordered some parts from brewers and forgot a couple things and had to place another order. Typical me. The rst should be here monday and I will take a picture of all the parts I ordered before I start putting the trans together. I got the carpet I ordered from yearone today. Haven't had time to open the box today but I will look at it tomorrow. I will also be finishing the gap on the 4 speed hump tomorrow and post some pics of that also. $$$$$$$ #-o:burnout:Lol.

Got the gap between the hump and the floor closed up today. Still need to dress the welds up a little or maybe not since it will all be coveredby carpet anyway. Click on the picture to see a larger one.
