Did someone have bucket seats in that car without the plates being welded to the floor? I can see holes drilled for the buckets, and can see where the plates need to be added.. was this a bench seat car?

I have heard this a couple times. Does the floor need to be reinforced to prevent the bolts from ripping through in the case of an accident?
