727 4 pinion planetary....

904's were lockup but 727's are almost never a lockup trans. 727 lockup trans. are as rare as hen's teeth. The bushing diameters are the same I believe but you will not be able to tell the difference in the slip splines by looking at them because the angle change is ver small. Absolutely do not mix the 72 planetary with the 76 output shaft or you will be sorry, guaranteed.

I was talking about the 'straight' splines on the output shaft... I was going to just to re use the later output shaft and re use all the guts out of the earlier rv trans? I know that the helical cut of the planet gears are slightly different between the sets? but the shaft splines should be the same?? or am I completely mixing this up?
