just got my new tuner for my ram the other day, was so excited, tryed to tune it , guess what i had to download something on it before it would work, thats just great and super easy if you are a computer genuis, so i called them cause i thought everything was preset, talked to a real jerk, he said it will only take five min, just follow the instructions, takes monger than that to read the stupid things, whar happen to get it plug in and it works, that what i paid for, to be honest there customer service sucks and so does there product , unless i can talk a local comp gen into helping summit going to get this peice of crap back, wouldn recommend it unless you like aggravation:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
 
It needs to download your specific pcm's calid happens when you pair the Diablo to the pcm for the first time. It really is a quick thing once you have the down loader on your computer.
 
The company also updates the tuners and the tunes. With a little patients you should be very happy with the tool.
 
Took you longer to type this post than it would have to wait for the tuner to download.
 
When I got the HyperTech programer for our 2000 Dakota back in 2001. I had
to send it back to them. Cause the truck have a factory reprogram for the
trans from the dealer.
But it has worked great sense.
 
Don't know about a Diablo but my DP tuner was ridiculously simple to install. Easiest and fastest HP gain I have ever done and I did not even get my hands dirty!
 
To Piggy back on the thread - for you guys who know these things, if I were to buy a tuner for my current Charger R/T and trade it in for a new Challenger SRT, can the tuners be used for different vehicles??
 
I still love mine. It took 5 min tops to set up program to my Ram & I reflash when I go on long trips to the Eco setting to get better mileage. Hopefully you'll get it all sorted out. Good luck.

You need to plug it back into your car & put the factory tune back before you can use it on another vehicle or else it will remain locked.
 
People wonder why such after-market tools cost so much. It is very expensive to provide support for customers who won't even try to read and follow simple instructions, then flame you mercilessly regardless. Will 345Man2 "man up" and return here to amend his rant once he finds how easy it is to use?

I have thought about offering a few products to help the hobby, but the thought of customer support is the main concern. It is hard enough trying to help people on this forum who won't follow thru on simple suggestions and requests like "tell us what year car and engine you have".

No last i heard no one has cracked the challenger yet
 
Better never have to use a code reader for a diesel truck, takes a while to read thru all the computers......
 
yeah i am back and will man up when i buy something that say on the box comes pretuned with multiple programs to accomadate driving needs, that tells me that you plug in and pick a setting and go, simple sorry i am not as smart as some of the others who above posted and cant be on a computer all day, just putting it out there that if you want a plug and go it takes a little more work than expected, but i did got it fixed today, live close to a dodge dealer and know them well, they updated truck and it works , even helped on fuel mileage, ps i can type pretty fast to lol:blob:
