converting 3 on the tree

im getting a 64 valiant v200 conv and wanted to swap it to a floor shift 3 speed how hard would this be? is it as simple as cutting a hole or something else
 
The universal 3 speed kit fits everything and fits nothing without some work.

I did this, basically I swapped out my steering column for a non column shift steering column.
I did put a new trans in so the linkage was not used..but you would delete that to and then i made a nice bracket for the floor shifter and bolted it down. Cut a hole for my Shifter cable and That's it.

Getting the proper shifter with all the mounting brackets will the hardest part. Reworking the floor will the next hardest if you want a stock look.
