Does anyone have love for the scamp like I do??

Good evening! This is my first post with many more to follow! I just bought my first mopar! It's a 72 Plymouth scamp! It has a 225 slant 6, column shift 3 speed! Currently running with 127,000 on the clock. Bought it off a gal that started a restoration but found a 60 valiant she'd rather do. Solid floors. Little rust (wheel wells and under the spare in the trunk). I've been reading a ton and am finding that many more people have love for the dart swinger, but I really dig the swinger meets valiant look! I've even had some trouble with finding out more about the car because it seems to keep redirecting me to read about the valiant or the swinger...I even went to drive a 318 scamp today to see one that's all completely restored and the salesman kept calling it a swinger... Well my friends I LOVE the Scamp and look forward to getting inside and tinkering and putting her back on the road with all the glory I can muster!! Glad I found a forum to learn and grow with this awesome car!!

I am entering week 2 of ownership and put 80 miles on her today. Sunny day. Highway driving, and pushed her up to 100 just to see. She's a little shaky but you can tell she just wants to drive!!! Awesome day!!

So hello! I love my car and look forward to learning and growing with this community!!

You can say I like my Scamp. Check out my build thread but be warned I cut mine up a bit. Welcome to the site.

Nope, don't like Scamps much at all. :D Only the ones made by Plymouth, and only the two door ones, and only the ones from 1971 on, and most of all, only the ones that didn't get parted out to repair another A-body! :cheers:
Maybe it is Tramps I don't like!?!?! Hmmm......
 
Welcome aboard. Pics arent hard once you finger it out. When posting, click the button below "go advanced" then it takes you to another page where you hit "upload pics". Just make sure your pics arent too big or it wont upload them. You may have to resize them.
 
Scamps are very cool and I have not seen one in person in a long time. Are their productions numbers low making it somewhat of a rarity?
 
Scamp, swinger, same thing more or less? Never see any scamps, like the style it's like a swinger btw welcome :)

Welcome! Yep, I love Scamps. I own a '75 and a close friend also owns a '75 (still trying to get him on here).

I love my 72 Scamp
love to drive it and work on it, prepping the body for paint now and just got my interior done in black on black with chrome accents...
doing boar skin for the vinyl top and I am usint the original 72' kragers ss's
that it came with...glad to have another scamp owner and the same year too...
