Came to Maine from Florida. No one up here would give anything for it. Had to bring it to Carlisle to get rid of it. Nice car but $34500? Get real..... In person the rear quarters are a diff shade of white and the door strikers have been welded. Not supposed to have the side molding, and it is not on straight. All the same literature I had in the trunk.

is that a plymouth plate on the front

Not sure. Them plates were not on it when I owned it. Maybe that is why it is so much more $. I had the exhaust put on it before selling it. 904 7 1/4 car. Good cruiser. Not very impressive as far as power.

Did they do any detailing or improvements at all to it?

The pictures look "auto corrected" with like a filter or something. Seems to hide imperfections.

Great you are informing others about this car.

We've got people right here on FABO selling stuff that made up stories and descriptions that do not match what they are selling.

When buying stuff get as detailed pictures as possible and never listen to the drama or stories behind the sale. Focus on the item and subjective description of details.

...The body is solid with beautiful shiny white paint, excellent chrome, trim, and glass. The black power top works perfectly and has the original ...

For instance:

"body is solid": Does that mean no rust, some rust, what?

"beautiful shiny white paint,": You can buff and wax about any quality level of paint and make it shine.

Even the words: excellent, beautiful, and solid are all in the eye of the beholder.

Looks basically the same. It was already detailed up pretty nice when I had it, other than the quarters not matching, there is mud in them. Does have new shocks and fresh coat of black on underside hiding the minor surface rust. $34500 to me is crazy when I couldn't even pull $15 out of it. Nice, but not that nice. I gave $11 for it

yep thats a 67 PLYMOUTH plate on the front. (does that irritate you as much as it does me lol!) i know its all mopar but, a dodge is a dodge and a plymouth is a plymouth !!

nice car but, wow!! a little high priced !!

i was wondering if that car has the torque boxes because its a convertible?? i haven't been around many convertibles and it never crosssed my mind to look for them on those cars. guess it would make sense to put them on convertibles to help stiffen things up a little...

That place is in Fredericksburg, Texas just a cruise from me...
They definitely in it for the money and been told they have some deep pockets.
I have seen a few cars from them and they are not what they appear to be...I sure your car got nothing but a good wash and wax...maybe some chassis black underneath...surprised they did not back out it under the hood.LOL

The car was at mecum auction in Kissemmee in 2012 was checking it out as it was in line to cross the block.

Wanted to talk to the owner since it is so close to mine. Mine was white blue top and interior new

I thought is was a nice looking car and well equipped. Never found out what it sold for.

For the torque boxes, yes all convertibles have them.

The car would look better without the side moldings, but that was a popular thing to do to PROTECT, your new car just like putting clear plastic seat covers over your cloth seats.

Since you had it in the north east, where did it come from originally? Mine came out of Maine, had a 68 dart convertible with factory AC with a Boston hospital parking sticker on it.

Surprising the number of Dart convertibles I have seen with factory AC.

I bought it off of a retired gentleman who brought it to his summer home in Maine from Florida where his winter home is. I stopped and looked @ it for 2 summers parked on the side of the road for sale. He started @ 18K and price slowly fell till I picked it up for $11k. Then I had it for sale for another 2 yrs. LOL!! 4 yrs for sale in Maine. It came with a set of small bolt ralleys with BFGs as well. Dont get me wrong. It is indeed a nice car, but does have a few faults and is not no $34K car. Buddy of mine just sold a B3 383 4 speed 67 GTS for $18k not a drop top but a much more desirable car in my eyes. Had all the #s parts and a trailer of NOS parts with it. Thinking I should have grabbed it @ $10K last year

The wealthy people are staying wealthy, and that's probably who this place caters to for the most part. He might get close to it, if he finds the right sucker.

Nice car for $14000, I guess they've been watching too many tv shows for that new amount ?

It's thier car, they can ask what they want.

But the descriptions and pictures do not meet the actual condition of the car.

Maybe to them, "solid" bondo in the quarters is a "solid" car.

I see it ended up in Texas. You didn't sell it to a couple of clowns with beards and cameras behind them did you?

No. Sold it to a middle aged ex Marine from Kentucky. That car really gets around. I looked real quick for bill of sale and VIN#. I got it here somewhere. I know it is the same car. Once you have gone over a car with a fine tooth car you can just tell.

Did you have a shiny floor and lots of antique cars around when you sold it?
That makes it worth a lot more.
I don’t like dealers. I’ve refused to sell to them.

As said, they are a dealer and no they will not get anywhere near that
kind of $$$ for it. Those kind of dealers always have high inflated
prices.
