Hey guys:

Another trivia question-

How does the underhood lamp attach to the wiring harness? My '74 has the light package...trunk, map, ign, glovebox, but no underhood. I happen to have a spare Plymouth hood with..you guessed it...an underhood lamp. I'd like to add it to my car to better view what leaks, burns, smokes or flies off at night.

Thanks for the advice.

I used to have a sack full of the ones with mercury switches in em, they kinda walked off magically.

I have no idea if it's factory. It very well could be something added on off another car. Good idea though isn't it?

That hood is in the storage unit so I'll check on it soon.

All you got to do is find a wire thats always hot regardless of key, or just run a circuit straight from hot and use an inline fuse. Ground to the hood or run a wire beside the hot down to a fenderwell and ground to body. Whatever you do, make sure the light is protected by a fuse.
