Fair price for a complete 360 minus carb??

I priced a 360 to a guy last year based on what I could get out of it in pieces. $500 is where it landed, but it had some decent stuff on it. The engine ran but not good and the kid I bought the car from didn't know much about it.

Where are you in Missouri? I'll keep my ears open around my way and see what I can find.
