I have to admit I never have before, but as a slightly twisted business owner I got a serious laugh out of the thought of a possible new offering on the company Price List:

Seek professional help before its too late. Showering with parts now. Sleeping with the car later. Where will it end?lol
 
OK, so I don't actually hop in the tub/shower with it, but I have scrubbed many a crankshaft in the tub with nice HOT water, laundry soap and brushed the passages then brake clean them afterwards outside before assembly!
I see nothing wrong with it. I'm also looking for a free oven to bake painted parts in so I don't smell up the one in the house anymore!!
 
I've never showered with car parts, but when fishing in Florida, I do take my rods & reels in the shower with me, to wash the salt water residue off.
 
FINALLY!!! someones done the same thing as me!! that and i rinse off my huge kettle and cooking pan in the shower too since my sink doesnt have a water nozzle/hose thingamabob, and its a royal pain to rinse them off in a shallow stainless steel sink. Totally agree with the hermit thing too, my girlfriend of 2.5 years just left me because i "worked on my cars too much" it was for the better though. Now only my dog looks at me like Im crazy when i shower with car parts. :D
 
I'll wash anything I can in the sink with Dawn and a brush. I'm sure the neighbors start asking questions when fumes from brake parts cleaner start entering their apartments as well. lol I keep contemplating using the dishwasher but am unsure of the outcome of that one.

Like I've said before Rani, too bad I didn't meet you before I met my wife....sounds like we'd be a good match, lol. And, I'm only like an hour or so from you. However, in my wife's defense, she doesn't say a word at all about anything pertaining to car parts being in the apartment. Not even a peep. I think she's just come to understand and ignore my disease. lol
Right now there's a set of heads, rockers, and valve covers next to the couch. And, a set of pullies, taillights, transmission parts/assembly goo, and misc other little parts all over my desk :)

Not the showering part, the part where it took until page two for anyone to throw out the picture card.

I am so utterly disappointed in my fellow FABOers.

I shower with car parts all the time. They don't need painted or anything but I lost my loofa so I............uuuhhhhhhh..............nevermind

CudaChick gave a great idea though I just don't know how payment is made?
Is Pay pal and a credit card OK for the new service option?
 
Yeah and I bet Leanna will be wearing a one piece bathing suit. It will be from head to toe.
 
I thought this would have been more common? Only one other person? Well I am honest lol sign me up as number three. I did this just a few months ago with my grill. Way easier to clean with constant water on it and a old tooth brush. Also more relaxing than bending over a sink for an hour.
 
O wait Lmfao also did this with my 72 tail lights that I sold to a member here. ROFL I wonder if they read this and will want a refund. My gf came in while I was cleaning the tail lights and only asked what I was doing once. She just laughed and said makes sence.

You know I've been taking paypal for a few years now Rob, and you can use most any credit card through paypal. :-\"

I've had one for years OTR and it's the same color as my car, but head-to-toe sounds more like a wetsuit. LOL!!!!
