Bill, gotta dumb question fer ya! Why are there 7 clamps on your upper radiator hose?
Well, Matt, as you may have read, this car is a joint project by my partner, Freddie Nielsen and myself. The car is at his garage behind his house, some 35 miles from where I live. It's about a ten dollar round trip any time I want to go work on it.
Since
I am not made out of money, and am retired and on a "fixed income" (and it's not "fixed" very well :oops:,) Freddie ends up doing a lot of the work, himself, in my absence.
He "built" that upper radiator hose out of two pieces he had, and says that once in place, when the pressure would rise in the cooling system, they (the hoses) would swell... so, he added the clamps to prevent that.
I think that the outlet (inlet?) built into the radiator (an aftermarket, aluminum unit,) may be in the "wrong" place, precluding the use of an OEM hose.
That's the best I can do in the way of an explanation, Matt....:D
