The number on the block is 2202857-4. Can anyone help me Identify if this is an aluminum block ? The intake manifold has a star above the number 5 cylinder. It's in my 62 Valiant. Thanks for any help...
Not many aluminum blocks made it into 62's. A dead giveaway is that the aluminum block has no freeze plugs. Look for a cast in ID pad on the drivers side of the block just above the oil pan rail.
