1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

The Rockers were fairly to replace, they fit real nice like all AMD stuff. The Miller 140 is great for sheet metal work (and Thicker) I use the auto set and go. Make sure you get a Blair spot weld cutter and several extra cuting bits, I used a air drill, since it's slower than electric and spray with WD-40 or equivalent. The Swinger build date is 11-69. Good luck, look forward to seeing the progress.

Thats good to hear, i think the hardest part will be getting the rocker out since it goes behind some panels, but it should be pretty straight forward.. same goes for the outer wheelwells. I got one of those brair spotweld cutters and a bunch of various different diameter cutters (3/8" 5/16" 1/4") I got the 1/4" cutters because i plan on separating the the hood skin. My Dewalt drill has 3 speed settings so hopefully it works (500rpm) i have an air drill but it's just to noisy, especially with the amount of spotwelds i have to cut! So that autoset works pretty good?

Cool, mine it sept 22, 1969. was just checking to see if theres any on here that were built the same day.

Great build so far, love the old pics! Only heard good things about the AMD stuff, so much is avail now! Sad in a way (but will save many cars from being crushed/parted!)

Don't think 70 Swingers came with dog dish (correct me if I'm wrong fellow FABO members! Also think the 340 Swingers only came with Goodyear Polyglas E70 14s (with are available in repops through Coker Tire, missing some orig lettering if I remember correctly)

I have a couple 340 Swingers as well & a friend just bought a EV2 340 4-speed like yours. We are next door in BC.

Looks like you are going to do a great job, enjoy as I will in seeing your pics & may inspire me to do mine... maybe, lol $$$$$$$$

I know some did come with dog dishes. my friend had a plum crazy purple one (three speed manual and 340) and the build sheet said it came with steel rims (FC7 paint) with the caps. I believe they are the rims that came standard on all 340 cars, but i could be wrong?? I do love the rallyes too, and might get a set down the road to change it up once in a while. I think the rallyes came with the tires your describing.

Awesome, where abouts in BC? i'm originally from Kelowna and have lived out this way for only 8 years now. I'd love to see some pics of your 70 Swingers! Do you have some pics of the EV2 one?

Thanks, i'm gonna need lots of inspiration along the way too, haha. This will be the most challenging build i've done so far, luckily i'll have my dad to help me along the way.

If it weren't for AMD this car probably wouldn't have been saved (same goes for alot of other mopars) AMD has alot of awesome stuff and it's great they keep coming out with more stuff! they've got rear frame rails out now as well as torsion bar crossmembers for the A-body!
