Power vs Manual Shafts

Can anyone direct me to the resources to tell whether I have manual columns or power?

Steering shaft?

Manual steering shaft is ~40.6", power steering shaft is ~37.5"

The column is the same, only the length of the steering shaft is different.
 
The column I understand is the same, I wanted to know the length of the shaft that runs through it....from the steering wheel to the steering box. I have two columns, one is an automatic column shift that I thought the guy said was manual, and a floor shift column that I thought another guy said was power. I was going to flip the shaft from the column shift column (manual) to the floor shift column so I would end up with a floor shift column with a manual steering shaft in it.....BUT....when I have them both standing next to each other sitting on the floor, they're both the same height.....

SO, I need to know which guy was full of it....

post some pics of what you have and we should be able to help you out.
i have a pic of a manual shaft with the coupler on it measures 42.5" WITH the coupler attached. thats from tip of the steering wheel threads to end of the coupler.

Keep in mind that the coupler slides, the measurements I gave are without the coupler. Is the 42.5" with the coupler all the way collapsed, or extended?

i really dont know what position it was in i would remeasure but i took the coupler off already,, guess i could lay it beside it and measure.
 
My shaft measured at almost exactly 41-1/4" from end to end with no coupler present... Manual?
