I found a guy with a 331 hemi thats been rebuilt and has low mileage for sale, I am still debating on keeping my 72 scamp bone stock, or make a rod out of it....you guys have any suggestions?

What do YOU want???? It is your car after all....I vote for a full tube chassis, twin turbo-ed 604 all aluminum HEMI......

Yup. I have to admit the idea of having a car with an early hemi does have it's appeal, but a fairly expensive build, both the engine and swap, and parts are dear for those old girls.

If I had the money and time, I'd be down for that

I like early hemis in street rods but not anything from the early 60'-up. They just look out of place.

But hey it's not my car or money.

thank you guy's for your opinions on the engine swap...
after some serious evaluation and budget reviews...
I think stock is the better option, with the $$ I save I can do that much more with my Scamp..

Sounds to me like you have a perfect excuse to buy another project car for that Hemi!!:burnout:

Personally, I think a 331 goes much better in a Hot rod, or a pre WWII coupe, or a 50's truck, than a 60's muscle car.

I had my 392 in 1932 Victoria.

Sounds nice. I've got a 354 and a 241 taking up space in the garage. Maybe will put the 354 in a street rod someday!

My son took that picture on His phone last year. I had it out last week end and really got on it for the first time. It will move. !

I have plenty of room! They are kept company by 2 440's, a 383, a 400, 2 340's and a couple 360's!!!
