Gentlemen i just took my 67 gtx clone to the alignment shop after installing the rms alterkation and the i gave the tech the suggested settings he came back to me and said he could not put 6 degrees in the caster as was in the specs. when he finished i took it out for a test and as i was driving down the road each time the road surface changed the steering wheel would almost pull out of my hands and the car would dart to one side. i took it back and he said he would work on the caster. Is there something i am missing here or should he have known that it wasn't correct before he let me test it. Just wondering what i should do next if he cant come up with a cure.

The only thing I see missing are its torsion bars :)

Sorry I'd never forgive myself if I used Mustang technology...

How high is the rear? If its jacked up a bunch he may be right or he's to lazy to adjust the heims on the upper control arms.

these guys obviously have no idea what there doing with a performance suspension system. I would go get my money back and find a shop that handles performance alignments. The Altercation suspensions are infinitely adjustable. I would give Bill Reiley a call and ask him what you should set your base line settings at to get it safe to drive to another shop.

sounds liek you have an idiot aligning it. take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

easy to get 6* out of it although 4-5 would be plenty. your upper arms are adjustable. if the clowns aligning it don't know how to get what they need i would be scared to death of what they may have screwed up under there..

a call to bill in the morning is exactly what i planned to do and i think you could be right he was hoping to avoid making the correct adjustments. the system was easy to install and i even had an issue with the rack unit and when i phoned bill about it he simply said send it back and within two days i had a brand new one no questions asked i was so impressed with his concern i think i will try to find a performance alignment center around here to do it right thanks guys this has been the best discovery i have ever found for information keep up the good info

was easy to install

its just as easy to align too...

i had a buddy that aligned my car after i put the alter-k in.. he was worried that we would be there for a while adjusting thing to get it right... he was shocked at how easily it went right into bills specs... car went straight as an arrow and never pulled all over the road.. something just isn't right with what that guy did..
