62 valiant /6 turbo build

No Bill the prvc is the two small holes behind your boost referenced power valve if you can see this pic I beleive its 17 on the center metering block
Okay, Aaron, I understand now.

Tom built that carb to Hangar 18 specs, so I am pretty sure he made those holes what they should be.

Today, I richened the primaries up from an 82 to a 96 and I think my A/F ratio meter quit working. It gets on one num,ber and stays there even thoiugh things are going on that should change the mixture a lot. It just gets on 13.4 and sits there, even if we idle the motor. It is a F.A.S.T. data-logging wideband, single probe unit.

I don't know how to check the O2 sensor, do you?

After we changed jets, we took her for a ride.

:blob:

With 10 pounds of boost, av gas, and alcohol anti-detonation injection, a 3.55 rear gear, a new set of 9"-wide Hoosiers on the back, my considerable (220 pound) arse in the shotgun seat, Freddie stalled her to 3,000 and floored her...
He nailed her, secondaries open, and short-shifted 2nd at only 5,000 rpm. Instant wheelspin on the launch.

Tire spin continued into and through second gear (new Sure Grip) until about halfway through second, she started going sideways and Freddie had to get out of it... but, it sure felt good for 10 pounds of boost.

Made me wonder what 15 will feel like... :profilel:

Stay tuned; we MIGHT get to actually race at a real drag strip, next weekend.

Weather permitting...
