69 barracuda stock 318

Im trying to figure out how to turn my 318stock 69 barracuda run in the 11's 1/4 Mile without change the motor on a budget.

There was an engine build that took some extensive camming, bowl pocket porting on 302 heads, carb tuning with a thermoquad (although this can be done way easier than with a TQ) and it was up in the 400hp/400 torque range.

As far as E/T goes, I am clueless, but you might get into the 13's.

This would require a lot of work on your part, good heads, really good porting/ playing around with 302 heads on a flow bench, extensive runner/ port match/ alignment work and a kickass ignition.

You can make an 11 second 318 last well, with a tuned engine on dished forged pistons, good rods, forged crank, perhaps a stroker in the same block for a 390, late 340 open chamber heads and a supercharger, but you won't save any money getting it to hold up to the heat and pressure.

Eaton made roots type superchargers for factory V6 engines that are relatively reliable and inexpensive to get at boneyards, that can be used with a custom made manifold, small pulley, maybe better impellers for more air, etc.

That will require a lot of work, as would a turbo system, it's been done, but turbochargers are not cheap, as centrifugal superchargers are not, either, by nature. They spin insane RPM ranges and require perfection in balancing and pressure management when they are built.

If you want naturally aspirated, port the hell out of some 302's and go for it on a bench dyno, but it won't be in the 11's.
