Got TTi header bolts yesterday...ran over and got the headers done this morning..

Got 3/4 plug for water pump bypass ....only really need alternator installed...car can be started without

Monday morning..going to finish putting bucket seats back in...

Still got some small stuff to do...tach..shift light.

after noon shift...got both seats back in the car and bolted down.....glued dash cap on...Interior of car looks very nice compared to went I started...it had no door panels..old *** bench seats...dash with more cracks then crack hoes on Fremont st.

Just need to bolt down shifter cover and figure out where to hang tach and shift light....kick panels need to be installed...

Still need to install alternator but that wont stop it from being fired up....maybe tomorrow afternoon.

A couple of pictures from last night...

Those bucket seats are NOT light weight...35 lbs each....

Still need to find a couple of arm rest for front doors...and will get kick panel and shifter cover bolted down today ...just gotta check tail lights...using stock wiring to rear of car ....

Going to put gas and water in it today...run pumps and see if I got any leaks....

Spin motor over on starter for a few seconds to listen for any clanks...lol..

Gotta hook up fuel pressure gas too...otherwise big leak...

Today was blunderville..

Put water in radiator..turned on electric pump...everything ok..

put gas in fuel cell...had to tighten a couple of fitting that were dripping...turn on electric pump...nothing...

i remember i cut the wire to the pump because of the carpet....and i put the passenger seat in..and it is holding down the carpet and I can not get to wires to connect them...seat is gotta come out...

hook up wire...turn on pump...gas leak at the regulator..#8 45 degree fitting from the main line into the regulator has the drips....tighten fitting...still dripping...the dam swivel part is leaking...should have expected that since i was trying to reuse a old fitting...so off comes that fitting...have no #8 45s around...put on #8 90...it works...fuel leak fixed.

ok...going to spin motor over on starter for a few second for pump to pick up oil....no oil pumping up...wait...I never put the oil filter back on after I put engine in car...got plenty of oil on garage floor..ok...again...spin engine..oil pressure...plus all 8 cylinders are pushing compression...

need to make a coil wire to go from Hei cap to Blaster 2 coil...done......

got 904 dipstick tube installed...put 6 qts of type F in trans...

At this point , I would say everything is a go for tomorrow afternoon...to start car...will still have a few thing to do before it hit the track in 10 days....but getting closer by the day.

I had a few leaks to fix myself with my new fuel system yesterday.Had to snug everything up and alls good.Hope you have it running tomorrow, its always good to be ready ahead just in case.:D

Making good progress Tony! Priming the engine without the filter on sounds like something I would do LOL

Do you have a deep pan on your 904? I installed a summit deep pan on my 904 and was wondering how much fluid I should pour into it.

This 904 has the mopar deep pan..I put 6 qts in cause that is all i had on hand..LOL
I think I got a couple more qts somewhere...but 6 should be enough to get it started...I will check and add once the engine is up and running.

Got the summit deep pan on other cars..completely dry ...with new lines and converter..the 904 took 10 qts..

10 quarts damn lol...that's a lot more than I was used to buying for the 4 speed

Thanks for the info Tony

I just love msd 6s.....go to start engine...hey..no pop...no fire...trouble shoot back to the box...swap out..bingo....It is alive..

Well..after swapping out for a distributor with a known advance curve...what a different ...

Had to move that pesky intermediate shaft too...

Makes that camshaft sound like a stocker.......

[ame]http://youtu.be/PMKUW1wXXk0[/ame]

Like I said...change the distributor to an old MP electronic ..made a world of difference...

Looks nice,Tony. Is that the Howard's .562 lift hydraulic flat tappet ?

Grille.....not perfect...but billion times better then the old one....looks alot faster too...

Ok....it runs...but still got some stuff to get done....one thing..the shifter cable is binding somewhere once the shifter was bolted down...gotta change that in morning...plus get driveshaft on it...

Was waiting for UPS to bring new shifter cable...but never know what time that guy is going to show up.....

Ok....got the driveshaft on it today..went to put driveshaft loop on it...bought one of the universal ones...what a POS.....

After Cut, Chop ...Rebuilt including cutting and welding...it fits...had to take driveshaft off and slide loop over it...drill a few holes in floor to mount...

Ok...alternator is all done and 1 wired....had to make a bracket....square back alternator and eddy heads..combo made in heaven....eddy heads overlap block about a good inch which screws up spacers.

So tomorrow..Friday...I got to put shifter cable on...and put drag link on front suspension...bolt seats back down......

Then car comes off jack stands.....still gotta put Tach/shift light in...and put hood back on...

So early next week....this thing will be ready to roll out the door....and get washed...

Well...alot of small stuff today...but by the end of the day....everything is done except tightening the drag link bolts...taking car off jackstands....and aligning the front end...making a rear firewall to seal the trunk.

actually got transmission tested today....wheels moved forward in 1st 2nd and 3rd....moved backwards in reverse...did not move at all in Neutral...

so one week from tonight is showtime...

You've made pretty quick work out of this car Tony. Congrats on a nice safe build for you and your daughter. Gonna be a fun ride in the 11's when it's tuned up if my guess is correct. I'll keep watching.:thumblef:

No..it is suppose to run low 12s.....Made big change in converter...was going to use a 10 inch...but went with 8 in...

went with hydraulic cam....if i had to do it again...would have went with solid lifter...love those flat tappets...
