So Ive been upgrading my daily driver for about a year now and its time to fix the leaf springs. From the pictures you can see that the driver side is shot. It is a solid 2 inches lower. I cant go over bumps if there is someone sitting in the back seat. And if I floor it the the wheels rub in the wells.
I have new shocks all around and "leaf spring helpers" but I need more height with these big wheel.

Ive seen some good posts around the forum but it seems like everyone wants to keep their ride low or stock height. I know most of you wont like this but I like the look with the back jacked up. Nothing crazy, but higher than stock.

I do need to keep the prices as low as possible and I found some on Jegs for about $200/pair, Mopar Competition Leaf Springs.

Pictures are Driver side, Passenger side, and picture of stance. I want the back up higher. And please ignore the rust, I will fix that but its not on the top of my to do list.

For what it's worth. I went with ESPO XHD 1 inch over stock. When I first put them on it was "Oh sh-t, too high" but it turned out nice. I had the same situation your talking about, tires rubbing on hard launch, back seat passenger rubbed on bumps. All gone now and the stance is way good.

Espo XHD 1 inch over stock. They do settle some, very little actually, but some.

x2
and if you want a little more height, you might want to go with air shocks
so you can adjust the height and ride...

Have you seen the springs a member has here for sale ? They are new and I believe
he said they was taller/super stock springs, I will go find the link and post it here if he has not sold them yet.

Emerson C,

I purchased a set of springs from Mcveigh's Truck Spring Company in Michigan and he was very helpful. I am extremely happy with the extra 1 inch of ride height i got with the new springs. I paid right around $280 shipped for the springs, new front eye bolts, rear shackles, and new U-bolts/nuts. He will make the springs anyway you want them. Give him a call or visit the site:

Thanks memike, but it's looking like there is a lit of interest, plus im a little hesitant about the slightly different size. It those small things that end up costing a extra $100 in parts and one big headache in my experience

Not trying to derail your post but I have to ask about your wheels, what are they? Are they small bolt pattern?
Thanks
Aaron

Nope they are bbp. I switched out my 7.25 rear to the beefy 8.75. Put in a limited slip diff, Yukon axles and disc brakes. They are custom Salt Flats. Not that I made them custom for me, someone else ordered them, never picked them up, so I bought them ay reduced price. Off the top of my head id say they are 15 x 6 and BARELY fit. Intact they rub the fender a bit if I got too much weight in the back, which is another reason I wanna jack the back up a bit.

I just talked with Laura from "springnthings." she says 6 leaf HD +1" are $255/pair and are a direct fit. The front eye bolt is 5/8" but if the car was a /6 originally then it will be a 7/16". She says they got option so shouldn't be a big deal. I have the 273 in there but it may have been a /6 to start. So ill have to figure that out before I could order anything. The VIN will tell me what the car originally had right?

I put Mopar Performance springs in my 68 Dart and I am very pleased with them. My car went up 2 inches over the worn out ones I had

so you are saying that you bought the extra heavy duty springs and they also raise up your vehicle 1 inch. I am just wondering what the difference in the cars overall height is going to be in comparison between the competition Super Stock Springs and the extra heavy duty springs.

Or are you trying to say you got the extra heavy duty springs that somehow raise the car up an inch more than usual XHD springs. If so, what's the part number on those.
