I thought I would never see this again.

I remember the old trailer wheels that used these type stud and they were a pia.

did they not call those Hitler's revenge on VW's ?

Lol! Those so remind me of the old air cooled Volkswagens! Hated those damn backwards studs

spend some time with a German car. they are no dummies....

I have...... Still have a thing for the air cooled beetle just hate the studs

As a matter of fact I believe I still have photos of my Bug in my gallery.

mercedes-benz uses the same design only the seat is a hemispherical seat, not a tapered seat, and theres 2 sizes, 12mm and 14mm. had a shop call for a few the other day. very interesting to finally find what the heck the guy was trying to explain.....

haven't had an issue on any of my newer model VW TDIs

Plymouths had those wheel bolts in the late 30's through early 50's, left and right handed of course, Dodges of that era had studs.

I thought that was the cloth covered fuel line that would wear through from rubbing against the cooling shroud which caused the whole back of the car to burst into flames.

Meh... no big deal. I just swapped wheels on a Mini Cooper with those studs and it took maybe an extra minute to line each one up.

I'm more concerned with the extra 400lbs of baby fat that this car carries around compared to the competition. :(

BOLTS not studs LOL ALL European cars use them... the wheels also must be hub centric or the wheels will shake = bolts come loose...

Guys gotta get with the times wheel bolts have been around since the 1940's.. just as common as studs in american cars
