The manifolds on my son's car are from a 69 B-body (road runner, Super Bee, etc.). The same fit can be had from 68-73 B/E body HP manifolds. They flow better than the original A-body manifolds. Check out the tech pages at www.bigblockdart.com for more pics of these manifolds and what it takes to make them fit.

hello 68 car owner. help please i have a 73 scamp 440 motor can u tell me were to look on a-bodies. i would like to find headers for the motor or just stock exhaust manifolds.new or used.is there any one ,or place u can send me to on a-bodies that could help me.or can u reply back to me thanks for your help mike

Mine is still under construction. Would love to know what brake master cylinders ya'll are using, what headers you're using, and did anyone keep a column shift? Mine is a 67 Valiant, '78 440 (stock), and 727. Rear is not yet determined. As far as the column shift goes, I just dont see how that bulky linkage crap could work. So been searching for a cable conversion of some sort. Right now we are cleaning up the interior and converting the front brakes. I have 10.87 (i believ) discs-spindles-calipers, 72 demon upper cntrl arms, 74 swinger ball joints and its coming together nicely. Mostly curious about the shifter mech, headers, and also what torsion bars ya'll are using.

hello mopar owners. question please, have 73 ply scamp,a body k-frame.was told could use elephant ears, so this is the way i went. please can i use my stock exhaust manifolds, at this time, seems like at this point,i may have to remove my power break booster, true false. if there is a different type of exhaust, to go with this motor and a body k-frame,could u give me the proper code or numbers that would fit thanks for your help.

I notice a lot of u guys don`t run heaters(block off plate), I would sure like to find a shorter heater motor that will pretty much bolt up. I`ve got a dummy 440 block in the barracuda and w/ the heads and intake on it , it doesn`t look like I`ll have room, even w/ the heater modification that has been on here. mine is going to be street driven some(pump gas), and here in ok. a guy needs a heater/defroster w/ all the temp. changes and humidity. anyone know a way out of this?------thanks, bob

Oh just realized I missed this one.

Purple Haze your Duster has it going on. Purple, sweet, and simple. What mufflers and exhaust tips are you using?

Most of the time if you run the original stamped valve covers there is no interference problems with the heater motor. Check your engine for the correct orientation front to back. If you do run into interference problems there is a mod you can do to offset the heater motor. You can find it here and at Bigblockdart.com.

Well I didnt want to start a new thread and this one seemes to have withstood the test of time, so I have a question. (perhaps more an opinion than answer) I have a low mileage '78 440 that runs fine, to put in my Valiant. I am on the very tightest of budgets, but got a great deal on a vintage tunnel ram. My 440 is bone stock. I have a hung jury as to whether or not I can use this tunnel ram. Some say 'no way' and that I would have to build the motor up to use it. The other half say 'run it' and if it proves problematic just detune the carbs accordingly and it should run fine. (hard-starts not withstanding). I cant afford to re-do this motor. And I have always felt a tunnel ram gives a certain shock and awe factor to any car so I would like to use it. Any ideas and/or suggestions?...opinions?...thanks in advance.
