Hello fellow Mopar owners and fans. I am new to the family as I acquired a 1973 Dart Sport 340 last week and am excited to begin my journey.

I had an illfated encounter in high school, owning a 1970 Duster with a 198, but it never made it on the road.

My car "Wilbur" is a local car that was bought here in Terre Haute, Indiana and has never left the area. It still carries the original black paint and stripe and the original window sticker was in the glovebox. These are the cars that I read about in Hot Rod and Car Craft, so I had to have her. The 340/4 speed set-up was the sealant.

With only 86,000 miles on her, she is pretty solid and the plan is a mild restification and just enjoy her. I would love to blow it apart and do a complete overhaul, but for now the goal is to drive it. The motor needs rebuilt and the clutch/trans will need freshining etc. etc. I figure about $5000 minimum. But I will still have a sweet Dart for under 10 grand and that will be cool.

She will reside next to my 1986 Monte Carlo SS with a 383 small block, Turbo 400 trans and Ford 9" rear. A fun street car that runs 7.80's in the 1/8th and will haul all my groceries from Walmart on Sunday.
