what paint guns do you use?

just wondering what is in popular use out there in FABOland

when i was in auto school for painting, i started with a Sharpe Blue cobalt and i used that for a few years with 1.4 tip. i had an extra tip that was 1.2 which seemed to like clear coat ......i would turnthe fluid down and air pressure up with the 1.2 and it would come out really flat but would take longer.

then many cars and and a few years later i started using my cousin's Sata jet. this was supposed to be a high dollar gun and it was also 1.4. i did like the metal cup. seems like it was easier to clean up then the plastic one .....prolly just my imagination though

Now i my current mental state ...i find myself using the $14.99 (with coupon LOL)harbour freight guns LOL They come in 1.4 which seems popular and IMO they do pretty good. when i first started out, we didnt have a harbour freight store locally but if they would have, i would have just used the cheap gun to start out.

i actually like the harbour freight gun bcoz it has a screw on cap, so it stays on when you backwash......also i like that the harbour freight gun has a built in knob to control air pressure. you dont even need a regulator with it .....i usually adjust the air pressure with sound ....you can pretty much hear and see when its right.

what do you guys use out there?
