Beat the Javelin, but %$#@% engine ticking now

probably just collapsed a lifter. I have lost them idling in the driveway. rollers are not immune
 
i would think that if it was a bent push rod, it would be popping through the carb.

a lifter would just click

Rev Limiter..... Yes you need to fix that! This is another good reason that I always go with a Solid cam. No worries about lifter pump up or down at High Rpm's!:burnout::D

x2 thats why i never build an engine with hydro lifters thats gonna get flogged at a moments notice.and hydro rollers are pretty heavy.....
