It was 46 years ago today on 5/3/1967 that I took delivery of "The Dart" or "Ole Blue" that I had ordered months earlier.

If you would have told me then that I would still own and drive the car 46 years later, I would have thought you would be crazy.

Here is a photo of how "The Dart" / "Ole Blue" looks today.

I knew there had to be someone that saved their new car from the sixties. Great choice! What kept you from trading for a station waggon or a family car?

That's impressive, and so is the car! A true survivor. You must be a young fella like me. My first car was a new also ,but approximately 1 year later than yours,it's long gone, lol.

I know how you feel. On the 25th of May 1970, my dad and I drove to the Pontiac dealer outside of town and I bought my Dart off the used car lot. I'm the second owner and like you, if someone would had said I would still have it sitting in a garage of my own some 43 years later, I would have laughed. Hell, I figured I'd get drafted and sent to Vietnam and maybe never get to make it back to enjoy driving it again. Well I didn't get drafted and I'm still enjoying the car.

Your car looks great! Nice to know someone else who got the Mopar bug way back when and still has it today with the same car.

Very cool , beautiful car, wish I kept atleast one of my muscle from back in the day.

Congratulations  So looks like it was a keeper :D
I hope it is inside today :coffee2: It's raning cats and dogs here in NE Arkansas :glasses7:

Wow theres not many that have a car that long. What kind of payments did you have? I bought mine june of 66, a 66 dart gt $75.00 a month for 36 months. still have it also. Mine was the first mopar I owned.

very cool and some more photos would be really nice.Nice to see a one owner car and well looked after.

Congrats on keeping your car 46 yrs.She still looks to be in great shape.

You have to tell us some stories of "back in the day"when you first took possesion.:D

That is impressive and here I thought I was the only one to still have the 67 Dart that I bought new. It is a 4 speed Convertible. Mine was built on Jan 10, 1967 and it was delivered Jan 19, 1967. Price delivered was $2883.35 and the payment was $80.10 a month for 36 months. Oh! To be able to buy a new car for that price again....LMAO

That's very cool- my wife and I bought our first new car (for both of us) in 1999. My two daughters were brought home in said car and, now that number three is on the way (affectionately referred to as "Baby Ooops!":D), my oldest has already stated that this one will also be driven home in the car.
She also has made no bones about the fact that this car is the one she wants to drive. I don't have a problem with that, but a couple people wonder about that because it is a performance sedan and can "Shat it & get it" very well when asked to.
I hope it'll be like your Dart...that is very cool.

Wow congrats and the caps look awsume!

I've heard the story on herbs Dart

Come on Herb let the rest know

For those that have not met Herb he is a great guy. I haven't seen the 270 hipo Dart. The day I met him he had his big block Dart convertible. See him every year at the Mopar swap meet in Indy
