I got one of those JEGS 2 row alum radiators. The ones with no mounting areas on the side. Anyone thats run one got photos of how they installed theres?

i made these steel brackets that wrap around the tanks. there are 2 at the bottom that the rad tanks sit into like a saddle. i still have to install the foam pads between the tank the the radiator.

Bought aluminum flat stock at the local hardware store, cut mounting tabs, and had them TIG welded to the tanks where I wanted them. (My tanks were heavy enough gauge to do this). Then, just bolt it to the core support. Doing this was less expensive then buying a radiator with brackets built in.

That kinda blows that it wasn't manufactured with at least a flange on each side to mount the thing. :wack:

Youngun your idea is about what i had in mind. So yours is sorta cradled not actually bolted in?

not bolted in at all. the bottom cradles hold it front to back against the core support and the top two hold it side to side. bottom mounts are vertical and tops are horizontal.

I got a "Be Cool" alum radiator that looks almost the same. It has 4 threaded inserts welded into the front of the tanks. You must drill matching bolt holes thru the front sheet-metal of your car. I considered putting in my 65 Dart, but would have had to cut off the frame rail lips to barely fit, which looks like younggun2.0 did (maybe not needed for 67+). I ended up putting it in my 65 Newport instead. I paid only $80 new on ebay (real cheap).

Tanks set in GM saddles on the bottom any bracket on the top. I use this method for mounting inter-coolers on Diesel trucks also.
