Which year is your favorite for the Dusters tail lights? I like the 70/71 but also like the 72 a lot. Which is what year ours is so I may have to go with that bias vote.

I am curious as to which is the favorite on the board. I looked and did not see this poll out there.
 
this pic has been posted before, but leaving the huge metal trim off of the 73 & up tail lights, cleans up the rear end a bunch !

I should have separated the 73-74 out from the 75-76 when I started the poll. I noticed the aluminum piece but didn't allow for that in the poll. My lack of knowledge with the difference there.

I came from owning E bodies a long time ago, my first cars. My brother had a 76 Duster. It has been a long time since I have messed with the old Mopar automobiles.
 
Hyper, that does look nice in that picture. Cleaned it up real well for the look.

Has that rear end been narrowed on that Duster or does it look stock? Maybe pushed the leafs in a bit or just the wheels they are using?

That is the best looking dual exhaust on a Duster I have seen. I like it very clean and simple, not much for chrome. Glad you re-posted that photo. I saw that and had been trying to find it for running dual exhaust.
 
i like the 70-72 about equal. the the 70-71 are nice and basic no frills looking..

My vote is 70-71.. My favorite year for Duster is 70. Only year for the Valiant Duster and it has the most sleeper look of all of them. Of course my opinion is swayed by the fact that I own a 70...
 
I used the pic of the yellow duster for reference. Its the cleanliness of the 70-72 taillights and the shape of the 73-74. Best of both worlds in my book.

1970-1972. Just cool- a dark colored Duster rolling down the road at night with those tails and a nice rumble is a very ominous sight
 
Ive always liked demon tail lights the most but 70-71 duster lights are a close second.
 
No vote... I love them all.
Each style was perfect for the flavor of their model year in my mind.
 
I like the '70 and '71 style better as long as there are stripes on the tail panel, i think they nailed it in '71 perfectly.
I don't care for the '72 style at all.
I like the '73 and up style as long as the aluminum trim isn't present like on the later years. The aluminum center trim was optional in '75 and '76.
 
Has anyone ever changed a Duster that has an original sharktooth grill have the tail lights changed to the way they were originally intended? I read somewhere that the Demon tail lights were originally meant for the Duster to match the sharktooth grill.
 
My favorite after 71 Demon is 71 duster
