Lets see your car in action!

@ guitar jones....Your alright mate, Again your car is really cool.Good job on all the wins, that takes lots of effort and commitment.
I understand stress,I took offense at some of your comments,I guess the way you worded them. But it takes a big man to apologize. For me, apology excepted.
I was razzin you about the anti roll bar to see if I could get a rise out of you.I know what they are for on a drag car.
But I will stick to 4 links being very tricky, I still think you got lucky on your setup. But it really doesn't matter, because it works for you.
We are all in it together, hope you find employment soon bud.

Thanks, I got a call yesterday afternoon that I'm clear to hire, driving record, background checks, blah, blah. Dropping my tools off this morning and start Monday.

BTW, I like your car too, love the post cars and the grille. lol

Actually I didn't start bashing Lisa at all, she started on me and many other people there. There was a discussion about quench and piston to head clearance where I stated that I was running an engine with .027 piston to head clearance without issues for over 15 years and even after the heads came off for the new engine there was no evidence of any contact or problems. Lisa then tore into me about how I don't anything and she knows all these comp racers and Lingenfelter and blah, blah, and you CAN'T run less than .038 piston to head clearance and on and on and proceeded to basically call me a dumbass. AND THAT IS WHERE IT STARTED!! So let's set the story straight.

Yes my car broke the converter hub on it's first pass with the new engine. Eleven passes later I had a head gasket failure from a previous pass's fuel pump failure that took out the engine. When I found out that you guys purposely set your car up to do that wheel stand I laughed.

BTW that is the only pic I have of my car and it's an early one with the 360 that couldn't run with the piston to head clearance it had in it. Yes it still needs an anti roll bar, so what, it hooks in a car wash, and always has since the first pass was made on it. Sweet spot? Yeah, it's got it, first time everytime. I made one adjustment on my car since it's first couple a passes, I can't help if some guys don't know how to adjust their cars.

For 1 thing i,m smelling BS here anybody else smell it?
Lisa knows what she is talking about and anyone who builds engines would never set piston to head at .027. There is No benefit to set piston to head any closer than .040 so why do it. Your fuel pump took a crap and killed your motor..thats a laugh in itsself. I think it was your assembly job and the lack of attention to detail that lead to the destruction of your motor. Yes she crewed for her Dad who raced Comp for 12 and she and I met all the great names in Comp. Her Dad also set many National records with his A/D and has a shelf full of Wallys to boot. Her Dad also built a chevelle that runs low 9s while pulling huge wheelstands. When I met her ,her Dad had a 69 Dart 360 that ran low 10s and would pull 300 foot wheelies every pass . Her car has 10 inch tires and is a zerox machine when it comes to time slips. My videos show how well her car works.
For a guy who claimes to make so many passes down the track why do you not have any recent pics or video of your car that don't make sense. Tube chassis cars shoud not need rollbars and your chassis has issues. We do not have a roll bar on Lisa car and it leaves straight as an arrow with no body roll. She told me that you got pissed when you posted a pic of your car and the wheelie bars and they stuck out like 4 feet past the rear of the car and she said those arent wheelie bars those are sissy bars. lol Well I'm done here to each there own.
Lets end this bs and move on with life. Hope you get back to work soon.
Steve

Here is a vid of my friends low 8 sec tube chassis car and look no rollbar.

Never mind...... I can't seem to get my video uploaded.

back to the quench setting earlier posted.

027" inch piston to head clearance, what's so wrong about that? nothing i'd say. a motor that is used on the street and will never see any rpm above 3 or 4k you can go even closer. rpm and rod material will dictate p to h clearance. the closer the p to h clearance the faster the fuel charge travels and the returns get smaller and smaller.

My poor little 318 only runs low 15s right now but I've got my Chasis dialed in! Here's me pulling a camaro out of the hole last time at the track. My wife has to take pictures really fast before they have time to pass me LOL.

I don't know what the problem was. But it's water under the bridge now.

Best run in the Duster last time I had it out. A little long, as it's from the time I pulled out of the staging lanes til I crossed the stripe.

Sorry no video of my other car.. But this is my favorite car... Runs 7:20's 1/8 without the wheelie bars.. Wheelie bars are being made and I should be able to leave around 6400rpm instead of the 4800. So we will see what it runs next..

Memorial Day weekend. Here is a very cool car Lisa's dad built from the ground up.This car has every name of the Pows and MIA stenciled one letter at a time on it from Vietnam. The car owner is a Vietnam Vet. There was hundreds of hours on the stenciling alone. There were many people involved in this project but Lisa's dad built the complete chassis, headers, wing and did all the tin work. I wish I had more pics but here is the web site.

I FINALLY got a video made of a run. I used a regular camera having a video option and taped it on my dash in front of the tach. It's a time trial run at Orlando Speed World and I'm running a Camaro that's almost a second faster than me. This was a "local" Stock/Super Stock combo. Unfortunately, I broke a sprag in the first round.

Now I just gotta find new ways to take more myself or with somebody's help.
