Brand loyalty

I find myself buying the same brand over & over in several areas of commerce. Gap, Banana Republic, Coke Zero, Chevron, Craftsman, Dockers, Mopar, AT&T. All for various reasons. I used to think there was rhyme & reason behind it, & some of it there is. For textiles, I like the modern, slimmer, sleeker look of bannana republic & gap and looking good is important to me, for soda I like the taste of Coke Zero just that simple. For others I'm probably a little more on the brainwashed side. AT&T because I work there & toe the company line. Chevron because their marketing makes me feel like my dollar is better spent (I have no supporting evidence), Mopar because I like the designs & used to be all about "buy American" but he cars are canadian while Toyota used to be assembled right down the street from me in Fremont, Ca, go figure. Craftsman be cause if it breaks Sears is easier to find than a Matco truck on a Sunday afternoon. So yeah I have brand loyalties that I follow, but apparently my reasoning behind it would only make sence in my head alone.
