This is one of the coolest diecast Mopars I've ever seen! It's a 1/24 scale diecast replica of the famed E38 Chrysler Valiant Charger R/T campaigned by Leo Geoghagen in 1971.
Manufactured by Trax Australia, it has exceptional detail, better than I've seen on a lot of much larger 1/18 scale diecast cars. The hood (bonnet), doors, and trunk (boot) all open. The famed "Hemi Six" with triple sidedraft Webers is fully detailed, the front wheels turn by spinning the right-hand-drive steering wheel, and best of all, the door windows go up and down by the window crank on the door panel. This is one cool Mopar diecast.
It's going to be one of the lead prizes at our Inland Mopars "Mopars In May At CSDR" charity-benefit car show opportunity drawing (raffle), Sunday, May 19, at California School for the Deaf. We're going to sell separate tickets for it to people who are diecast collectors - this is a collectible, not a toy to scoot around on the floor. We also have the Nov/Dec issue of "Australian Muscle Car" magazine that has a 12-page article on the development and racing history of the full size cars. Both items were donated by our lone Australian club member (also a FABO member) who brought them with him on his first trip to the USA a few months ago when he came over to go to MATS with the club. He took it to a big Mopar show in Australia before he came over and had Leo Geoghagen, the builder and driver of the full-size race car sign the diecast and the packaging. Leo is in his 80s now and was pleased to sign the car since it's for charity.
Enjoy the pics...

WOW !! That is a piece of MoPar art eight there  I would like to get in on that raffle :glasses7: Thank you for sharing ocdart, that is way to cool :happy7:

O.C,nice score. Damn nice. The Aussies, are so fun to deal with.

Total badassary. The Hemi Six Pack was hellified.

I would like to get in on that raffle

Mike, we're only selling Opportunity Drawing tickets at our car show on Sunday. Sorry.
If you jump in Victoria right now and head west to Riverside, CA, I'm sure we can find a spot for you in our car show - and you'll be sure to win the "Long Distance Award" too!
I just posted the pics so everyone on FABO could see this outstanding diecast version of Mopar race car history. I'd like to have it for my diecast collection too, but I don't want any of the show participants or spectators screaming "foul" if I should win it so I'm not even buying any chances to win it.

It would be cool to get in on it and help the fund raiser :glasses7: but even better win that cool piece of Mopar art/history
I have been watching your car club and you all sure have a great bunch out there :glasses7: Keep up the good work  and I know what you mean about winning it, but could you find a few friends to jump in on it for you ?
It is for charity and help raise even more help ? ...... Thanks for the invite

You're 100% right on about that, my hilltop friend. We do have a great bunch of people and do some awesome stuff for a relatively small club. We currently have 20 member families but I have a feeling we're going to get a few more members after this car show with the interest that's been shown from some of those who pre-registered their entry to the car show.
Keep watching FABO, I'll post up pics from the show as soon as I can.
You can also keep an eye on www.socalcarculture.com as Dave Lindsay from the website is going to be at the show on Sunday to shoot pics. He'll have them posted on their website in the near future.
And of course, there is always are new club website (www.inlandmopars.org) that is just in the infant stage. We've got some more work to do to get everything we want on it, but keep an eye on it too.
Hey, we even have a club member from Australia! Maybe we should change our club name to Inland Mopars International.
