You've got the killer hotrod Avatar. Not me. I'm just an old, old man.

I envy Amy. I wish someone would restore my Charger for me! har har... holy crap, that's not going to be a quick one, either. I'm going to be homeless and jaundaced from an all-Ramen Noodle diet if I ever finish that car.

hotrod3forty,

It's amazing when I read posts like that and hear about how these cars went away. That Green/Black/Gold combo car sounds pretty fantastic, but you've got the first one, which is the best, IMO. The coolest story with pics I've seen was a local used mopar guy by the name of Wayne Maddox, who passed up a '69 Daytona in '81 or '82 for $200. There certainly was a time when these cars were cheap.

At some of our ages, we, me included, used to pick around Mopars in junk yards years ago for this or that part...climbing over and in and out of cars I'd love to have to restore but didn't realize it back then. Now they are gone.

Yes, I'm glad I did keep it. And I'll keep it until I just can't do anything anymore or until I realize that I don't realize what I'm doing anymore......

I'm 51 in a few months. My first car was a 68 Dart . Ive owned about 30 more since and another 30 off brands. Done all my own wrenching till I paid a shop last year to install a 4 speed in my Roadrunner,I just couldn't lift it :) !!

First car: 72 dodge colt. 2nd car: 71charger super bee in excellent condition and sold for $400. I have only had 3 non-mopars. I currently have 3 dodges, 2 chryslers and 1 Plymouth.

Currently 48 y.o.

The last digit of my age is the same as the last digit of the year I was born. How old am I ??

Im 28. I only have Toyotas besides the duster. I only got into mopars after so many people would stop and ask to buy my grandfathers duster after he stopped driving it. When I was little I rode in the back seat of the duster I have now while my grandfather drove him, my grandmother, and me to Sunday school.

Toyotas are good cars.

I don't personally own any, but I've work on lots, driven lots. My crew rolls around in vintage ones. '77 Celica liftback, '82 Trekker in spanky nice condish, '88 Supra GTE targa car... Love me some 22rs...

The black Duster is ok, too... ;)

64 this Oct. damn it went fast .... first car 348 3x2's 3 speed 60 Chevy in 1967....firsts Mopar 1968 440 /4 speed Charger in 1970 ..still think best looking car I ever owned ..still love the noise and the acceleration thank God

My first mopar was a new 1968 rt charger 440 4 speed. Sold that in 2 years and and bought a new 1970 cuda 440 six-pack shaker 4 speed. At 15 I bought a model a and put a 54 hemi in it with help from friends. Have now a summer driver 70 challenger convertible big block. Working on a 67 dart convertible 440,5speed now, paint just finished. Should be my last one,67 years old. Love those Mopars

I am going to be 41 in April 2014. My friends and I are BY FAR the youngest Mopar/ muscle car guys in Calgary. It's funny because the old timers are DECENT to us, but you can tell they are NOT ready to pass the torch. It is refreshing to us that HEMIORANGESWINGER from Edmonton, bought my Buddy's 70 340 Swinger. Not too many YOUNG guns out there? By the way, KUDOS to you as well Lad. (KEGAN)

Just turned 54 a week ago today, Learned to drive in a 73 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon with a 440.

Other mopars in my life:
63 Dodge Polara 4 door 383 (loved that pushbutton auto)
66 Chrysler Newport 383
72 Plymouth Duster 340 (Pictured below and the reason I joined here)
76 Dodge Charger Daytona 400
77 Plymouth Volare Road Runner 318 (my future wife's first Mopar)
85 Dodge Lancer 2.2 TBI
86 Chrysler Lebaron GTS 2.2 Turbo
87 Chrysler Lebaron GTS 2.5 Turbo (Engine came from a 81 Sundance)
94 Chrysler LHS 3.5
95 Chrysler Concorde 3.5
96 Chrysler LHS 3.5 (Current daily driver)

Yes I admit I slipped up a few times, had a 68 Chevy Nova 250, 69 Chevy Belair 327, 82 Mercury Grand Marquis 351W (Ran a hell of a lot better than the 302 it had), 85 Ford LTD Brougham 351W (Fox body variety, originally a V6, very fun little sleeper car).

I'm 51. I think you have to be 50 or older to have true Mopar blood. lol
the last decent Mopar, was built in the early 70's, most of the young bucks weren't even born. lol

I am 53 and almost back driving the Dart after a wreck.. 7 months on the bus!! MOPAR OR NO CAR...

I am 44 & my friends range from early 20s to late 60s. My family ( mom & dad side ) & friends all live & breath mopars. :headbang:

Turned 37 this past September. My first car (truck) was a Dodge D-50 pickup. Have driven Dodge trucks all my life. Didn't drive other Mopar products (cars, vans) until I got married. My 69 Dart is the first classic car I have ever owned.
