Found another one!

I have been after a 71 Dart Swinger near my home for years. It sat under a tree in a wealthy neighborhood, never moved, and the owner wouldn't budge, so I had given up on it. Well, the owner called me a few days ago, and I went to look at the thing. It is a white Swinger, 318 car with 904, air, PS, manual brakes, and AM radio. The vinyl roof was shredded, rust is attacking the sail panels, and the car was covered in tree sap. Wood rats had chewed up some wire under the hood, so the car wouldn't start, and that's why it never moved. When I opened the door, I nearly passed out, because the interior was showroom new! A look at the odometer showed me why, it has 16,389 miles on it. I started asking questions. Turns out it was purchased new from Burkett Motors in Houston, sat it a garage until 1996 when the original owners widow, gave it to her son. He parked it under a tree, and sold it in 2000 to my neighbor. My neighbor planned to give it to his mom, but she passed away and never got to drive it, so it has sat most of its life in garages and under trees. The original spare is in the trunk, as is the trunk liner, and its not getting spark to start. I will post some pictures later, but they don't do the interior justice. Gotta rip the vinyl off the roof and stop the sail panel rust before it gets worse, but by all accounts I have probably the lowest mileage Dart in existence. I gave $1400 for it.
